Difference between waterlevel, waterlevel validated and waterlevel filtered

Support -

Waterlevel, waterlevel validated and waterlevel filtered are all three important values within the Munisense portal which who'm you will probably have to deal with at some point in time. But what do they mean exactly? In the article below we describe what they can be useful for.

Waterlevel

Waterlevel is the raw data that is calculated using Water Absolute pressure which is directly gotten from the sensor in tandum with the barometric pressure which is linked to the measuring point. Together they make up the watelevel value. Waterlevel is calculated in meters from the set height reference (in the Netherlands this is m NAP). This measurement is the most real-time waterlevel of the three.

Waterlevel validated

Waterlevel validated is the same as raw waterlevel but validated to tese points:

  • Automatically accepted
  • Manually accepted
  • declined

Waterlevel validated is calculated in meters from the set height reference (in the Netherlands this is m NAP). It contains the same values as the raw waterlevel, but these values have gone through the validation process. Because these values have to be automatically validated there is a delay in when the values are displayed and so is not real-time. WARNING : If you display this value within a graph it will also show declined values. Waterlevel validated is only to show if it had been validated or not (no matter if accepted or declined)!

waterlevel filtered

Waterlevel filtered is the same as waterlevel validated but instead of showing all validated values it only shows the filtered values based on a display rule. Admins can change the display rules. The standard display rule is set to only show automatically accepted and manually accepted values. And to hide the declined values. Waterlevel filterd is calculated in meters from the set height reference (in the Netherlands this is m NAP). You will most likely use waterlevel filtered in most cases when showing it to your customer. this because it only displays the accepted values.
